Time for the Disney Wish! Well let’s just say we kind of “WISH” we didn’t take this cruise, but we’ll get into all of that below!

 

 

DECK 1

 

HEALTH CENTER

We're starting our tour at the Health Center on the ship. This is located on deck 1. Generally there is a fee to see the doctor. They do have different hours depending on the day.

 

DECK 2

WALT DISNEY THEATRE (DECKS 2 - 4)

On deck two, we're starting in the Walt Disney Theatre. Here is where you'll find the nightly shows and entertainment. On our sailing we saw three shows, Disney Seas the Adventure, The Little Mermaid & Aladdin. All were good shows.

 

Disney Seas the Adventure. We got in line at 7:30pm, not needed at all. They opened doors around 8pm. Sitting here right now at 8:24pm and still a good amount of seats are still available. Show starts at 8:30pm, its also only 30 minutes. The show itself was pretty good. Enjoyed the characters throughout. One part that stood out was when Elsa was singing "Into the Unknown" and had Meridia and Moana also singing the same song, best part of the show. Overall a fun show, lots of Disney characters.

 

The Little Mermaid was okay, our least favorite, it skewed away from the original and was just okay. Aladdin, we just saw on Fantasy and loved it, this was almost as good, a bit different, but still very good. On Fantasy I'd like to note getting into the theatre for the shows was such a hassle and people lined up about 90 minutes prior. On Wish, we felt it wasn't too bad at all. One of the nights, when we went to see Aladdin, we got there right as the show started, found seats in the back, they were great and we enjoyed the view. I'd say roughly 30 to 60 prior you'll be just fine. Even 10 minutes or so, you should still be able to find some decent seats.

 

 

 

DISNEY'S OCEANEER CLUB (AGES 3 TO 10)

This area is for cruisers 3 to 10 years of age, broken up into several different rooms, Marvel Superhero Academy, Star Wars Cargo Bay, Fairy Tale Hall, Imagineering Lab & Mickey & Minnie Captain's Deck. Each room offers different things for the children to do and interact with. For the adults, we do have some time here, rare, but does happen during the cruise, and that is to meet different characters. During our sailing we got to see Black Panther, Ant Man, The Wasp, Rey & Chewbacca. Line's do get long for these characters, so make sure to line up early, We got a chance to meet all of them, it was a lot of fun. I will also mention, they have a very cool slide that kid's can take from above on deck 3 and it drops them off right into the Oceaneer Club.

 

 

 

"IT'S A SMALL WORLD NURSERY (6 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS)

This area is for the younger cruisers.

 

 

 

STATEROOM 2627 - STANDARD INSIDE STATEROOM

Location was GREAT on this stateroom, right behind the elevators, steps away from getting to everything. Room itself was fine, nothing outstanding here. The bathroom was on the smaller side. Bed was the best part, very comfortable. Noise level was great, never heard anyone in the halls, never heard anyone near the elevators. Room was warm at times, but that seems to be the trend these days on ships. So bring a fan, magnets and a extra long USB cord. That way you can prop a fan above you and have it running throughout the night without dying.

 

 

 

DECK 3

WALT DISNEY THEATRE (DECKS 2 - 4)

This is the upper level of the Walt Disney Theatre.

 

 

 

PRELUDES ($)

This is where you can get popcorn, drinks and other snacks prior to the start of the show.

 

 

 

SHOPPING VENUES

You'll find a variety of shops in this area including 3 Wishes, Once Upon a Time, Royal Regalia, Enchanted Castle Jewels & Treasures Untold.

 

 

 

THE BAYOU ($)

This Princess and the Frog themed area is such a great spot for nightly music and fantastic drinks, during the day they did offer a few activities throughout the cruise.

 

 

 

STAR WARS: HYPERSPACE LOUNGE ($)

This Star Wars themed bar was pretty cool to check out, never got too busy, but was fun to try out at least once. We did get a drink here, will say the service, a lot better than the drinks, but still a must-do experience.

 

 

 

NIGHTINGALE'S ($)

This was the piano bar on the ship. They did also offer some drink classes as well. We stopped by when they were closed to check it out, but that was about it for us.

 

 

 

GRAND HALL (DECKS 3 - 5)

When you first board the Disney Wish you'll enter the beautiful Grand Hall. Inspired by the Disney Princesses, you'll also see the statue of Cinderella. They did offer several different activities and dance parties here, make sure to check out your daily guide for everything they have to offer in this location.

 

We ended up doing some more character meet and greets around the Grand Hall. Compared to Disney Fantasy, the Disney Wish lacked, big time in the character department. Had much higher expectations, but not much variety at all. The only time you can meet any princess was during the Royal Gathering, which good luck getting. Again, on Fantasy we met all different types of princesses 10 times over. Not here.

 

Character Dance Party with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald & Daisy. This was a lot of fun to see. Starts with them all dancing on the stage, then they head around the Grand Hall and dance, while one stays on stage. They rotate around until Mickey, then they are all back together to finish it off.

 

 

 

 

 

1923 RESTAURANT (COMPLIMENTARY)

This is one of three main dining rooms that you'll dine at during your trip. The dining room is inspired by the golden age of animation with California-inspired cuisine and dual dining rooms, which are named after Walt & Roy Disney. We dined here only for lunch. Service was good, food was enjoyable. We were supposed to have dinner here on our last night of the cruise, however opted out due to the horrible service and food we've had the past two nights at the other dining venues. This was also our muster station, yes they still make us stop everything and head to it for the safety drill.

 

 

 

DECK 4

 

WALT DISNEY THEATRE (DECKS 2 - 4)

This is the balcony level of the Walt Disney Theatre.

 

 

NEVER LAND CINEMA (COMPLIMENTARY)

This is one of two movie theaters on the Disney Wish, offering first-run and classic films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel & Lucasfilm. Themed after Peter Pan. Completely free to enjoy. They also offer a snack stand in between both theaters.

 

 

 

WONDERLAND CINEMA (COMPLIMENTARY)

Across the hall is the Alice in Wonderland themed theatre. Offering the same movies. The daily guide will show you the entire list of movies for both theaters. These theaters do fill up, especially for new movies.

 

 

 

LUNA LOUNGE (DECKS 4 - 5)

Spanning two decks is Luna, a large lounge home to a variety of activities throughout the cruise.

 

 

 

GUEST SERVICES/PORT ADVENTURES DESK

If you have issues or questions during your cruise or looking to book a shore excursion, this is going to be where you can get those taken care of.

 

 

 

BIBBIDI BOBBIDI BOUTIQUE ($)

This location is going to be where children (ages 3 to 12) can get their magical makeovers, including the royal princess transformations, knights and exclusive Captain Mickey or Captain Minnie looks. Their are different packages you can choose from.

 

 

 

WISHING STAR CAFE ($)

This is one of two coffee shops in the Grand Hall area. You're also able to get a printed Disney character on top of the coffee.

 

 

 

UNTANGLED SALON ($)

For the adults, here is where you'll find the salon, with a entire list of items they offer here.

 

 

 

HOOK'S BARBERY ($)

Across the way you'll find the barber shop, not just any barber shop, but one with a bar. This was pretty cool to see.

 

 

 

WORLD'S OF MARVEL RESTAURANT (COMPLIMENTARY)

Here is the second main dining room. We ate here on embarkation day. We had very high hopes on this restaurant, well based off all the Youtuber's and how much they hyped this location. WELL....that turned out to be complete B.S.. Let's start off with prior to the cruise requesting a table for 2. They didn't listen, they actually don't offer (from what we saw) any 2-seater tables. Instead we were stuck at a 6-seater with strangers. Luckily one of the couples came, looked and left, never saw them again. It just make's it uncomfortable. Onto service, it was terrible, and when I mean terrible, it was terrible. Nothing like we had on the Fantasy. Food, overdone and not edible. It was a complete waste. Also where was Spiderman? Wasn't that in every video online? Never saw him at all during dinner, apparently according to other guests, he did come out, but much later and once most people are already gone. So dinner for us, 1 out of 10. They will get a 1, because we actually got what we ordered.

 

 

 

DECK 5

 

SENSES SPA ($)

We now head to the Senses Spa, we came here on embarkation day for the spa raffle (didn't win), we did check out most of the spa, not too big, kind of cool looking. We did like the outside area a bit, that was nice. The heated loungers were also nice to relax in for a bit.

 

 

 

SENSES FITNESS ($)

Across the way is the fitness center. Here you'll find everything you need to get that workout in.

 

 

 

KEG & COMPASS ($)

This was one of the bars on the ship, also offering a variety of food options. We did dine here on the last night of the cruise, since the food in the dining rooms were just as terrible as the service. Here we had some of the best food of the trip, wings and tots, yeah, tells you how good the food is on a Disney Cruise. The ambiance is nice with it's sports bar vibes, good brews and great service. They also had other events throughout the cruise for adults-only.

 

 

 

TRITON LOUNGE

Across the way is another lounge area. This also hosted events, we ended up checking out the drawing class, which was fun.

 

 

 

MICKEY'S MAINSAIL ($)
This is going to be your logo shop onboard, featuring everything from ship models, logo clothes and so many other Disney merch.

 

 

 

SHUTTERS ($)

This is where you can get professional photo's taken.

 

 

 

ENCHANTED SWORD CAFE ($)

This is the second coffee shop in the Grand Hall area. Check hours, because they will vary on the different locations around the ship.

 

 

 

EDGE (AGES 11 TO 14)

This another one of the kid areas of the ship.

 

 

 

ARENDELLE: A FROZEN DINING ADVENTURE RESTAURANT (COMPLIMENTARY)

This is the third main dining room on the Disney Wish. We dined here for our second evening. Food and service, was just as bad as our previous meal in the World's of Marvel restaurant. The waitstaff even admitted that the kitchen would likely mess up the cook on the food, they did. Onto the show, we were seated pretty far away from the stage, making it a bit difficult to see the show on the stage. However, Anna, Elsa and Olaf will make their way around the restaurant, although it was fairly quickly, it's just enough to grab a photo of them passing by. Food tonight was another miss. A shame the buffet isn't open for dinner.

 

 

 

DECKS 6 TO 10

These decks are passenger decks, on deck 8 you will find the laundry facilities.

 

 

 

DECK 11

 

MICKEY & FRIENDS FESTIVAL OF FOODS (COMPLIMENTARY)

This area is made up of 5 different dining locations offering a variety of free food options. Let's go onto them below. Also I will mention on both sides you'll find the beverage station, where you can get water, tea and even soda.

 

MICKEY'S SMOKESTACK BARBECUE (COMPLIMENTARY)

We're going to start off with the barbecue, now they do cook this low and slow, but the flavors are just not there. Felt the food overall was just okay, good for kids and people with little care for what they are eating, but for someone who enjoys a good bbq, this just is not it. Very dry and overcooked brisket, pork not the greatest. Well it work for a quick bite? Sure, but don't go in expecting much here.

 

 

 

SWEET MINNIE'S ICE CREAM (COMPLIMENTARY)

If you're looking for some quick-service ice cream, here is where you will find it.

 

 

 

DONALD'S CANTINA (COMPLIMENTARY)

Here is where you'll find some Mexican fare including tacos. We did not eat here, but did hear it was one of the better options in this area.

 

 

 

DAISY'S PIZZA PIES (COMPLIMENTARY)

This is the most disappointing and frustrating of the food stands. Main reason is because all I wanted was a Margarita pizza, but every time I went, all they said was they did not have it and would take 15 to 20 minutes to make since it was a special request, even though it's on the menu, they only have the cheese and pepperoni pizzas out at all times. Pizza itself was decent, better than Royal, but that isn't really saying a whole lot.

 

 

 

GOOFY'S GRILL (COMPLIMENTARY)

Our last stand is Goofy's Grill, this is where you'll find burgers, hotdogs and a few other items. We did try the burgers, it was good, just very greasy.

 

 

 

LOOKOUT ($)

Here is another bar, this one located right near the main pool.

 

 

 

POOL DECK & FUNNEL VISION

This area of the pool deck is where you'll find many of the different pools as well as the large screen that shows multiple movies throughout the cruise. As for the pools, they didn't seem too busy, the do close them up depending on if they have a stage show going on. On embarkation day they did have the Sailing Away party, which was a great way to officially kick off any Disney Cruise. We also checked out Mickey & Minnies Pirates in the Caribbean on the pool deck, which got pretty packed. Side note as we're standing and waiting for the show, noticed most pools close super early and the rest by 8pm. Not understanding the draw to Disney. First the show, it was actually a lot of fun. They had all the main Disney characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and some others, as well as Hook. Very fun show.

INSIDE OUT: JOYFUL SWEETS ($)

If you're looking for some sweets and candy, you can find a wide-selection of options here, as well as upcharge ice cream.

 

 

 

MARCELINE MARKET (COMPLIMENTARY)

This was surprisingly one of the best buffet's we've ever had on any of our previous cruises. Now, I will say this, was there a huge spread like on Celebrity? No, but the flavors that we had throughout were incredible. Breakfast and lunch we had so much food that had amazing flavor and even dishes we've never seen or heard of we tried and loved. I will say this, Fantasy had snow crab, which I prefer, on Wish they had stone crab, not the most flavorful. Really enjoyed the buffet, also let's talk about the theming, best at sea, such a great vibe. We had plenty of seating, as well as seating outside. Only downfall is the buffet is not opened at night, so you're stuck at the dining rooms or an upcharge restaurant. Also the last morning of the cruise, no buffet. Not sure why Disney does this, but for us it's a missed option.

Up on deck 12 you will find Donald's Pool as well as Goofy's Pool.

 

 

 

Vibe (AGES 14 TO 17)

For the older kid's, this is going to be their area of the ship.

 

 

 

THE ROSE ($)

Prior to your dinner you can grab a cocktail at The Rose.

 

 

 

PALO STEAKHOUSE ($)

One of two specialty dining venues on the Disney Wish. This is an adults-only restaurant, offering traditional northern Italian dishes with high-end modern steakhouse selections. We did not dine here, however we did on the Disney Fantasy, wasn't worth it for us. They are open for brunch and dinner, spots do fill up quickly.

 

 

 

ENCHANTE ($)

The second adults-only specialty dining venue on the Disney Wish. This is the French inspired restaurant.

 

 

 

DECK 13

 

AQUAMOUSE

Here is where you will find the AquaMouse water coaster. I did not get a chance to get on this, as much as I wanted to, just never happened.

 

 

 

QUIET COVE POOL (AGES 18+)

For the adult's, here is the Quiet Cove Pool area. Here you will find 2 pools, as well as a full bar.

 

 

COVE CAFE ($) (AGES 18+)

In this area is also another coffee shop.

 

 

 

DECK 14 (AGES 18+)

Up on deck 14, above the Quiet Cove area is the smoking deck.

 

 

 

PORT CANAVERAL

Got to the port for 11:30am. Parking was $85.60 for our 3night cruise. Our arrive window is 12:15. They had lines outside for several of the different boarding times. We were already outside and waiting by 11:43am. Lines were moving near the terminal entrance around 11:45am. We were headed up the escalator at 11:55am. By 12:10am through the line for security.  Then headed to the desks to check in. Boarding groups 1 to 10 have already boarded, we're group 13. By 12:30pm we were working our way heading onto the ship. Have to say their checking is controlled chaos.

 

We've made it to our final morning. Well for starters the Disney Wish does not offer a buffet option for breakfast, only the dining room. Which won't open until 6:45am. We did self-assist and still by 6:55am, been docked for over an hour. We've been standing in line in the Grand Hall for about 30 minutes in line. No castmembers here to let us know what is going on or anything. We should be off by now. I will tell you if we were on Royal we'd be off the ship at this point. 7:00am the lights around the Grand Hall brighten and the music is playing, us, still waiting. 7:04am castmembers finally come out. Not saying anything to anyone. We're all still just standing here. I sware they do this for their "show" tactics. 7am, lights brighten and music comes on, few minutes later castmembers come out. Okay, just let us off the ship already. 7:10am we're heading off the ship. 7:20am to our car and heading home.

 

 

 

CASTAWAY CAY, BAHAMAS

We've made it to our day at Disney's Castaway Cay. We've been here twice. We decided to get off and head to the family beach. Took the tram to the 2nd stop, got off and headed to the beach. The water temp was good, but biggest issue was the merky water. Also only went up to maybe 4 feet, so pretty much a sandbar. Needless to say we didn't stay too long at all, just enough to go in for a bit.  We wandered around Castaway Cay a bit more, meet several characters which was a lot of fun. We then headed back to the ship.
