"Beautiful hotel, not what we expected to find at a Disney resort"

We just returned home from a 2 night stay. It was my first stay at a Disney resort.. We have stayed at many hotels around but wanted to try Disney. At check in: The women doing our check in didn't know what she was doing. I handed her my credit card and drivers license since we were there for 2 nights. I expected to be charged for the second night and was not. We received a call at 10:05 PM the first night to tell me I didn't pay our second night. The women on the phone took care of it. Property Amenities: The buildings were nice as well as the room which was neat and kept up decent. Not a lot to do other than the pool and arcade. Gift shop and convenience store was a nice touch and the food choices were great for the meals just high priced. Transportation was hit or miss. The boats to downtown we waited 35 minutes for yet a good 15-20 boats went by heading to Riverside or empty that didn't stop. The buses were hit or miss as well we ended up taking a cab to downtown Disney. Bad idea on its own since it cost 13.00 since the driver charged us to drive the parking lots that were still open to find a proper spot for drop off. We found him onsite at the hotel. The buses to the parks we did enjoy as well as the buses back from downtown. They came often and such a better option for us than the boats.
